Meet your 2007- 2008 State Officers
From Left to Right:
Raunaq Sandhu, Secretary
President/Treasurer, Yelena Semenyuk, is a senior at San Juan High School. She loves outside activities, especially playing volleyball. She also enjoys reading in her free time. Yelena’s family includes her parents, one brother and one sister. After high school, Yelena would like to attend one of the UC campuses and study medicine. Her second choice would to attend college out of the country. As a state officer, Yelena really wants to represent this organization to her full potential, while trying to increase membership and excitement among members. She would also like to visit schools without an established FHA-HERO chapter to discuss the organization and its benefits.
Vice President, Alejandro Martinez, is a senior from Mt. Diablo high School. He enjoys swimming, playing competitive volleyball, and socializing with friends. Alejandro lives with one brother, one sister and his mother who is a cosmetologist and a business owner. In the future, he plans on attending college to study Architecture. His state officer goal is to increase membership by publicizing FHA-HERO by going to schools to inform them about the organization. Alejandro wants to be a great role model for the students and a tremendous representative for the organization.
Secretary, Raunaq Sanhu, is a senior at Kern Valley High School. He is fond of playing soccer, hanging out with friends, watching movies and listening to music. He also has a sweet tooth for chocolate. Raunaq lives with both parents who own well-known franchises and looks up to his older sister who is in college. Raunaq would like to attend college as well; either at Georgetown University or UC Berkeley, majoring in Business Management. As a state officer, Raunaq would like to be a great role model for this organization, as he works toward promoting FHA-HERO and increasing membership. He would also like to be an inspiration to the members so that they will be motivated to become more involved in FHA-HERO.
Historian/Reporter, Michele Griffith, is from Los Molinos High School. She enjoys participating in spots, traveling to new places, learning new things and re-decorating. Michele lives with her parents, older sister and younger brother. She would like to attend college and major in Political Science. As a state officer, Michele would like to spread more knowledge about the organization, thereby generating pride and hopefully resulting in increased membership. She would like to improve communication between chapters, regions and the state association.
