California Association FHA-HERO
2011 SB-70 GRANT AWARD

We are pleased to announce that Senate Bill 70 Incentive Grant Awards were made in 2011 to approximately 61 FHA-HERO Chapters throughout California that applied for, and were qualified to receive, these awards. These funds were made available by the State Legislature to assist local Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) in increasing and improving student participation in leadership and career development activities.  A list of the chapters who met the established criteria and received this special funding as well as the amount of the awards is provided below.  Award monies are restricted as to how they may be spent depending on the category under which the award was granted.  Individual award letters were distributed to all chapters listed below on or around August 10, notifying the chapter Advisor of the award allocation and the rules for expenditures.  Any questions regarding this program should be directed to the FHA-HERO Financial Services Office.
