Citation of Honor
This special certificate is annually presented to chapter advisors who serve either as a Region Coordinator or Region Competitive Recognition Events Chairperson. No nomination forms are required.
Service Award Pins
Recognition pins are presented to chapter advisors based upon their years of service and dedication to the California Association FHA-HERO. Pins are presented based on the following increments of service as an advisor in California. (Note: This recognition is not based upon years of teaching, but on the years an individual has served as a chapter advisor.)
5 year pin - earned after the 5th year of service
10 year pin - earned after the 10th year of service
15 year pin - earned after the 15th year of service
20 year pin - earned after the 20th year of service
25 year pin - earned after the 25th year of service
To receive a recognition pin, advisors must annually submit the form entitled “Advisors Directory and Service Recognition.” This form is included in the Fall Affiliation Packet or click here for form.
Region and State Star Chapter Advisor
The purpose of this award is to annually recognize a current FHA-HERO chapter advisor/Home Economics Careers and Technology teacher in each region for his/her work in developing and maintaining a strong FHA-HERO program and providing leadership in working with students and adults beyond the local chapter level. The State Star Chapter Advisor is selected from among the Region Star Chapter Advisors. Nomination and personal data forms must be submitted by February 1.
