Presentation of the Mills High School FHA-HERO Program
San Mateo Unified High School District Board of Education March 24, 2011
Kim Hung, State Officer and Amy Shinoki, Region 5 President and Mills Chapter President presented information about the FHA-HERO Program to the San Mateo Union High School District Board Meeting on March 24.  The Officers covered the purpose and main activities of the program.  Amy reviewed the activates of the Mills Chapter and the recent recognition as an Honor Chapter --- one of only two chapters in the state to be recognized.   Kim presented a reflection of her experience in FHA-HERO during the past four years. The 10 minute presentation closed with the DVD about FHA-HERO. Congratulations on an outstanding presentation!

Past State Officer

James Oviatt"I find myself using skills learned or honed in FHA-HERO and HECT classes every day while working at the Disneyland Resort.  Be it my public speaking skills, my child development interaction skills, or my teamwork skills, it has all enhanced my success."

James received a Vocational Education Certification from San Bernardino Valley College, and is currently an Attractions Lead/Cast Production Scheduler for the Disneyland Resort.
