Anaheim California, is the site of the National Leadership Meeting.

STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) recognizes members in competitive events. Only members who have paid state membership dues and qualified at State Competitions are eligible for the events. Applications and registration fees must be sent to national headquarters through the State Association
by May 1, 2011.
National Meeting Attendance Policies: Due to
increased liability, the following attendance policies will be in effect
for members and advisors attending the 2011 National Leadership Meeting.
- Members must be accompanied by an advisor from the school district;
- Advisors may only chaperone students from the school district in which they are employed;
- Members and advisors should plan to pay their National Meeting deposit during the National Meeting Information Session at the State Leadership Meeting;
- Advisors may not be part of the California National Meeting Delegation if they are not accompanying students from the school district in which they are employed;
- If a member or advisor becomes unable to attend the National Meeting after paying the registration fees, he or she should contact his or her Region Advisor immediately;
- Family members of advisors and members of the California National Meeting Delegation may not be part of the delegation unless they have an assignment or role that has been approved by the State FHA-HERO Office;
- Alumni or associate members who have graduated from high school must be accompanied by an advisor if they wish to travel with the California delegation and;
- All California advisors and members who attend the National Meeting must register through the California Association FHA-HERO.
