Meet the Region 9 Officers
Madison Carr, Region 9 President /
Reporter, is a sophomore at
Newbury Park High School.
Her interest in FHA-HERO was sparked in Foods and Nutrition class, where
she served as class representative to the FHA-HERO executive council.
She was instrumental in the production of the chapter activities manual
and the stocking stuffers for a needy family project. As region
president, Madison will focus on increasing membership
and member involvement so more students can benefit from FHA-HERO. Madison is on the NPHS
varsity swim and water polo teams, supports family and neighbors with
babysitting services and is interested in a career related to culinary
arts.
Ryan Ranieri, Region 9 Vice
President / Secretary, is a senior at
Fountain Valley
High School. Ryan has
participated in FHA-HERO CRE Salad Preparation, taking third place at
State. He took part in a knife skills competition held at Cypress College.
Ryan is well on his way to realize his career goal to be a chef since he
is already working at a restaurant with increasing food preparation
responsibilities. Ryan is a volunteer for marathons, handing out water
to the runners. He believes being a region officer will help him become
a better leader and take control of his future plans to be a chef.
Bonnie Casillas, Region 9
Treasurer / Historian, is a senior at
Paramount High School where she also serves as
local FHA-HERO Chapter and Associated Student Government Presidents. Her
time as an active FHA-HERO member has given her unforgettable memories
and ever-lasting friendships. She won first place at
State CREs in Community Service Project and
gold metal in that event at the FCCLA National STAR Event competition
held in Chicago in July, 2010.
Bonnie’s goal is to encourage more students to fully involve themselves
in FHA-HERO as she has done for career preparation, leadership
development and to gain skills for a successful life. Bonnie’s career
interest is to become a lawyer. .
