Meet the Region 10 Officers

Juan Rangel, Region 10 President/Treasurer, is a senior at Victor Valley High School and is currently the chapter President and has been a member of FHA-HERO for two years. His hobbies include playing soccer and hanging out with friends, Juan’s career path is to become an elected official for the U.S. Government and dreams of even becoming President of the United States. His goal this year is to increase membership and create stronger enthusiasm for Region 10.

Denise Torres is a sophomore at Eisenhower High School is the region Secretary.  She is a member of the tennis, basketball, and track and field teams.  She has been a member of FHA-HERO for two years and has held the position of secretary for both years.  She competed in the Job Application and Interview CRE event at Region Competitions and received First Place.  She went on to State Competitions and placed third.  She is now preparing for National Competitions in July 2010.  She wants to pursue a career as a teacher.  She believes FHA-HERO is a great opportunity to help her achieve the skills needed to work in a classroom.        

Erika Figueroa, Beaumont High School senior, is the Region 10 Historian/Reporter. Although enrolled in Child Development, her love has always been cooking. She has competed in the Salad Preparation and Culinary Arts Display – Appetizers CRE Events at the State Level. Besides being active in FHA-HERO the last two years, Erika has participated in Celebrating Reading & the Arts activities in Beaumont and assisted teachers at one of the local elementary schools. In her spare time she loves to bake, hang out with her friends and family and meet new friends. Erika likes to encourage others to join and participate in FHA-HERO.

Erika Montano, Region 10 Vice President, is a sophomore at Colton High School. She has been a FHA-HERO member since her freshman year of high school. Erika loves working with children and want to go to college to become a child psychologist or anything that has to do with working with young children. She enjoys folklorica dancing, baking and working with kids. Erika is looking forward to a great year with the Region 10 officers.
