As California emerges from the recession, the Food Service and Hospitality industry will rise as California's career field of the future. Better personal finance means more people will spend their money on leisure activities such as dining out and traveling, and the state's tremendous tourist lure will continue to spur job growth in the food service and hospitality industry. Exciting shifts in the field, such as increased use of technology appeals to international markets, "gourmet" and "regional" specialization in restaurants, and marketing/promotion, make Food Service and Hospitality a top career choice for the 90s.Food Preparation
